My name is Sania (suh-NEE-uh) Mitchell, but everyone calls me Nia! I was a gymnast at the University of Alabama from 2019-2023. I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance Exercise Science (Education), and I will graduate again in the spring of 2024 with a Master of Public Health.

As a coach, I pride myself on being able to bring the best out of every athlete I have the privilege of working with. Not only do I find time to focus on basics, details, and presentation, but I put in the effort to develop the person first. To me, if we're not trying to become great people, being a great athlete means nothing. I want all my athletes to be the best gymnast they can be, but even more than that I want them to learn, grow, and be happy.

As a choreographer, my style is unique. Over the years, I've learned how to get gymnasts to step out of their comfort zone, while still being able to capitalize on their strengths.
